Disaster Relief Auction
September 24 & 25, 2021
Lebanon Valley Expo, 80 Rocherty Road, Lebanon, Pa. The auction supports the work of the Brethren Disaster Ministries, a program of the Church of the Brethren, restores hope for the most vulnerable disaster survivors by engaging volunteers to repair and rebuild storm-damaged homes, and by providing grants to support the disaster recovery efforts of faith-based partners.
District Board Meetings
October 9 - To Be Determined
The Southern PA District Board meets on a regular basis throughout the year. Visitors are welcome to attend these meetings and share joys and concerns from their home congregations. If you would like to see first-hand how the Board conducts the business of the District, plan to attend a meeting in person.
2021 Camp Eder Fall Festival
October 16, 2021
A great event with hay rides, live auction, kid's activities, craft vendors, yard sale vendors, Eder-made apple butter, and pork meal cooked overnight in inground brick pits. This is an outdoor event with outdoor eating for the meal.
Meal tickets: $12.00.
Meal served 11:00am to 2:00pm
Auction starts at 10:30am.
Spare Change for Guatemala
1st Sunday of Each Month
Beginning June, we will have a special offering time to support our mission trip to Guatemala in 2023. Please consider bringing your loose change to drop in our offering cans that our youth will pass during the Sunday service. If you are interested in going on the mission trip, please contact Brenda Myers or Pastor Brian.
Now Accepting Applications
Child Education Center
We are accepting applications for the 2021-2022 school year. Classes are held Tuesday & Thursday. We have openings in both the 3-year-old class and the 4 & 5- year- old class. Applications are available through the church office or by clicking the link below.
Operation Christmas Child
Now through November
Because of Back-to-School sales, now is a good time to start buying items to fill shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child for November.
Some Gift Suggestions
School Supplies: Pens, pencils, colored pencils, pencil case, small manual pencil sharpener, erasers, crayons, markers, notebooks, solar calculators, coloring pads, coloring and picture books, glue stick (no liquid glue), safety (blunt tip) scissors (age 5+), ruler (age 5+)
Personal Care Items: Comb, hairbrush, toothbrush, washcloth, adhesive bandages (colorful ones can help a child be more willing to wear a bandage. Do not include liquid antibiotic ointment), non-liquid lip balm (age 5+), nail clipper & file (age 10+).

Laptops for Missions
Did you recently upgrade to a new laptop computer? Do you have an unused one lying around with power supply? Dayton Unger of the Shippensburg congregation will refurbish and update older computers for use by missionaries, seminary students and pastors. Windows 7 or newer is preferred.
